Okay, so today I decided to tackle this “luminary crossword” thing. I’d seen it floating around online, and, well, I’m a sucker for a good puzzle. I figured, “Why not give it a shot?”
First off, I had to, you know, actually find one. I did a quick search and boom – plenty of options. I picked one that looked challenging but not, like, impossible. You know, something to make my brain sweat a little, but not explode.
I printed it out, because I’m old school like that. I like the feel of paper, and it’s easier for me to scribble notes and cross things out. Plus, it saves me from staring at another screen.
Then came the hard part: actually solving the thing. I started with the clues that seemed easiest, you know, the ones that just popped into my head. Fill in the blanks, you know, those kinda clues.
- Got a few of those right away, which felt good. Little victories, right?
- Then I started looking for intersecting words, using the letters I already had to narrow down the possibilities.
The Struggle Was Real
But, man, some of those clues were brutal! I mean, who knows this stuff off the top of their head? I definitely had to do some, ahem, research (aka Googling) to figure out a few of them. No shame in my game. I even had to ask the wife a few times when I am really confused.
It took a while, I’m not gonna lie. There were moments of frustration, where I wanted to just crumple up the paper and throw it away. But I stuck with it, chipping away at it bit by bit.
Finally, after much head-scratching and a few lucky guesses, I filled in the last square. Boom! Done! It felt pretty darn good, I gotta say. Like I’d actually accomplished something. I think this thing is quite interesting to play, will do more in the future!
