Alright, so I was trying to figure out when Coco Gauff’s next match is scheduled. Just wanted to catch her play, you know?

First thing I did was hop onto my computer and pull up a search engine. Nothing fancy, just the usual one I use.
I typed in a few different things. Started with “when is coco gauff next match”, then maybe tried “coco gauff tennis schedule” just to see if that pulled up anything different. You know how search results can be sometimes.
Got a whole load of stuff back. Some sports news sites popped up right away, talking about recent wins or whatever. Saw links to the official WTA tour site too, which usually is a good bet. Sometimes tournament-specific sites show up if she’s currently playing in one.
Checking the sources
So, I clicked around a bit. My usual first stop is the official WTA Tour website. I find that’s often the most reliable place, even if it’s not always the quickest with exact times.
- Checked their main schedule page.
- Looked for any upcoming tournaments she was listed in.
- Tried to find the ‘Order of Play’ if a tournament was happening right now.
Sometimes, especially between tournaments or early in the week, the exact day and time aren’t posted yet. They have to wait for other matches to finish, figure out court assignments, all that stuff. It’s not always instant.

Then I jumped over to a couple of big sports news outlets. The kind everyone knows. They often have dedicated tennis sections with schedules, especially for the major players like Gauff. Compared what they said to the WTA site, just to be sure.
I also pulled out my phone and checked a tennis score app I use. Those apps can be pretty good at sending notifications or updating schedules quickly once they are released.
Basically, it’s a bit of detective work. You search, you check the official sources, maybe look at reliable sports news, and piece it together. If the info isn’t there yet, well, you just gotta check back closer to when you expect her to play. That’s usually how I track it down.
