Okay, so I’ve been messing around with Meg in Dead by Daylight, trying to figure out the absolute best build for her. I spent a good chunk of my Saturday, like, five hours straight, just tweaking and testing different things. It was a grind, ngl.

The Experiment Begins
First, I hopped into a custom game by myself – no killer, just me and the gens. I wanted to get a feel for different perk combinations without the pressure of being chased. I started with the classic: Sprint Burst, Adrenaline, Self-Care, and… I think it was Iron Will. The goal? Maximize speed and healing.
I popped Sprint Burst to get to gens quickly, practiced my skill checks, and timed how long it took me to finish a gen solo. Then I’d “injure” myself (you know, just pretending) and time the Self-Care heal. It was… okay. Pretty standard stuff.
Mixing It Up
But “okay” isn’t what I was going for. I wanted optimal. So, I started swapping things out. I tried replacing Self-Care with Botany Knowledge and a med-kit. Faster heals, for sure, but I was burning through med-kits like crazy.
Next, I ditched Iron Will for Resilience. The idea was to get that extra repair speed while injured. I paired that with Spine Chill to know when the killer was actually coming (even though, you know, there was no killer in my test runs). It felt… risky, but potentially powerful.
The Adrenaline Factor
The one constant throughout all this was Adrenaline. That end-game burst of speed and healing is just too good to pass up, especially with Meg’s Sprint Burst. I imagined scenarios: last gen pops, I’m injured, killer’s on me – boom – Adrenaline kicks in, Sprint Burst activates, and I’m GONE.

I even messed around with some “meme” builds, like full-on exhaustion perks (Sprint Burst, Lithe, Balanced Landing, Head On). It was fun, but definitely not the best for consistent results. Funny, but not practical.
The “Aha!” Moment
After a few more hours, multiple coffees, and a near-overdose of Dead by Daylight, it finally clicked. The best build, for my playstyle at least, wasn’t about maximizing just one thing. It was about balance and adaptability.
My Go-To Meg Build (For Now)
- Sprint Burst: Gotta go fast.
- Adrenaline: That clutch end-game save.
- Resilience: Extra speed when it counts.
- Spine Chill: Early warning system.
This build gives me speed, survivability, and a bit of gen-rushing potential. It’s not perfect, and I’m sure I’ll keep tweaking it, but for now, it feels really good. I went into a few real games after my solo testing and actually managed to escape a few times, pulling off some pretty sweet saves. It’s all about practice, and knowing how to use each perk in a given situation.
So, that’s my Meg build journey. It was a long one, but hey, that’s how you get better, right? Go try it out and let me know, maybe it’ll suits your playstyle too.
