Okay, so I saw this article title, “longtime LA sports venue NYT,” and I was like, “What’s that all about?” I’m a big sports fan, especially when it comes to LA teams, so I had to dig in.

First, I tried to figure out what venue they were talking about. “Longtime” made me think of some classics. I started by listing out some possibilities in my head: the Coliseum, Dodger Stadium, maybe even the Rose Bowl, though that’s more Pasadena.
- Coliseum
- Dodger Stadium
- Rose Bowl
- The Forum
- Staples Center (Yeah I still call it that.)
I then went to the NYT website on my old phone. I try to look for the article on their sport part.
I scrolled and scrolled, and finally found, it’s about the renaming of the Staples Center! It talked about how it’s been around for a while and has seen some iconic moments, like Lakers championships, Clippers games (when they’re good), Kings victories, and even concerts.
It’s kind of wild to think of all the history in that place,I have been there!
I even checked some photos, and, man, that place has hosted everything! It is big and full of people!

So, I realized that even though these venues change names and get updated, the memories and the spirit of the games stay the same. It’s all about the teams, the fans, and the love of the sport, right?
