So, I hopped on my computer today, fired up League of Legends, ready to climb the ranked ladder. But guess what? The ranked queue was disabled! I was like, “What the heck is going on?”
First thing I did was check the game’s status page. Nothing. No announcements, no explanations, just…disabled. I scratched my head, thinking maybe it was just a temporary glitch. I restarted the game, restarted my computer, even did a rain dance (kidding!), but nope, ranked was still a no-go.
- Checked the game’s status page – nothing.
- Restarted the game – still disabled.
- Restarted my computer – nope, still disabled.
Then, I started digging around online. Forums, social media, you name it. Turns out, I wasn’t the only one confused. A bunch of other players were in the same boat. Some folks were saying it was because of a recent patch, others were speculating about server issues. It was all a bit of a mess, to be honest.
Someone mentioned that the chat service wasn’t working properly and there were login issues. And it makes sense, if the chat’s messed up, it could cause some problems with ranked play. And to be honest, I hate those toxic people that make the game so much worse, so I don’t mind so much.
I even saw a post about players getting “ranked restricted” because they were being toxic. So they had to play a bunch of normal games before they could get back into ranked. Maybe that was related? Who knows.
Anyway, after all that digging, I still don’t have a clear answer. It seems like the ranked queue was disabled to prevent people from losing their precious LP due to some ongoing issues. It’s a bummer, yeah, but I guess it’s better than dealing with a broken system.
The Waiting Game
So now I’m just waiting. Waiting for an official announcement, waiting for the ranked queue to come back online. In the meantime, I guess I’ll just play some normal games or maybe even try out a new champion. It is what it is, right?
If any of you guys have more info about what’s going on, feel free to share. Otherwise, let’s just hope ranked is back up and running soon!
