Okay, so today I wanted to figure out who won the little league game between Maine and Massachusetts. It wasn’t as straightforward as I thought it would be!
First, I fired up Google. I just typed in “Maine vs Massachusetts little league,” thinking it would be an easy find. Nope.
I got a bunch of general Little League stuff, schedules, and things related to both states, but not the specific game results I was after. It was kinda messy, I got different games results, but no one was what I am looking for.
So, I tried to be more specific. I added “results” and the current year to my search. Still nothing useful. Lots of irrelevant noise.
Then I thought, maybe it’s on a specific league website. I looked for “Maine Little League” and “Massachusetts Little League” separately, to see if they had their own pages with scores.
- I landed on the official Little League website for each state.
- I spent a good chunk of time clicking around their schedules and news sections.
- I found some district-level game information, and I could find any results about a game between Maine and Massachusetts.
Honestly, I didn’t find the result of a specific state-vs-state game. It’s possible that the game I’m thinking of is at a lower level, or maybe it just hasn’t been widely reported. It also might be a recent game, and the information just isn’t updated yet. I may try another website tomorrow.
What I Learned
Finding hyper-local sports results can be tougher than you think! Sometimes, the big search engines don’t cut it, and you have to dig into smaller, specific websites. Next time, I will have to try to ask my neighbors, maybe they have some information about it.
