So I was itching to jump into some Lethal Company shenanigans, you know, that game where you gotta scavenge on moons and stuff? But my buddies were already halfway through a game, and I didn’t want to make them start over. Turns out, there’s a way to join a game mid-progress, and let me tell you, it’s a bit of a rollercoaster.
First off, I had to download this thing called BepInEx. Sounds fancy, right? It’s basically a mod loader. I got that installed, which was kind of a pain. Unzipping files, making sure they’re in the right folders, all that jazz. I made a mistake at first, put it in the wrong place. Took me a minute to figure that out.
The Mid-Game Join Magic
After BepInEx was all set up, I grabbed another mod called LC_Slipper. This was the key, the one that was supposed to let me join ongoing games. After I install LC_Slipper, I opened the game.
- Fired up Lethal Company.
- Got the friend who was hosting to send me the lobby code.
- Typed it in.
- Boom! I was in.
It was crazy! They were already on some moon, scrambling around, and I just popped in like “Hey guys, what’s up?” They were totally surprised. We goofed around a bit, finished that moon, and kept playing. Worked like a charm. I’m definitely gonna keep using this to hop in and out of games without making everyone restart. It’s pretty sweet, if you don’t mind the whole modding process.
The whole setup took me maybe half an hour, but only because I messed up the BepInEx part initially. If you’re a bit tech-savvy, you can probably get it done quicker. But yeah, joining mid-game is totally doable and totally worth it if you don’t wanna wait around for your friends to finish what they’re doing.
So yeah, that’s how I did it. Pretty cool, huh? Now I can join my friends’ games whenever I want. Game on!
