Alright, let’s talk about this here game, the Cavaliers versus Lakers. I ain’t no fancy sports person, but I watched it, and I got things to say. You know, like them fellas runnin’ and jumpin’, tryin’ to throw that ball in the hoop. That’s about the gist of it.
So, the Cavaliers, they somethin’ else, ain’t they? They beat them Lakers real good, like 134 to 110. That’s a whole lotta points, even I can tell ya that. Heard tell they won by more than ten points four times now. These fellas is on fire, I tell ya.
Now, there’s this fella, Donovan Mitchell, they say he’s real good. And I guess they ain’t lyin’. One time, he got 33 points, another time 43! Lawd, that’s a lot of points for one fella. And then there’s this other young’un, Darius Garland, he got 24 points too. These boys is quick, like rabbits in a field.
And that Mobley fella, Evan Mobley, he got himself 25 points one time. Big fella, he is. Can’t miss him, tall as a corn stalk in July. And that Jarrett Allen, he was hurt for a bit, but he came back and got 24 points too. Seems like everyone on that Cavaliers team can score. They just keep throwin’ that ball in the hoop, swish, swish, swish.

Now, them Lakers, well, they got that LeBron fella. Everyone knows LeBron. He’s been around a long time, like an old tractor in the field. But he got a sore foot or somethin’. Missed a game or two. He played a bunch at the start, 23 games they said, but now he’s sittin’ out. Can’t run and jump with a sore foot, I guess. Makes sense, even my old bones ache sometimes.
You know, watching this game, it’s like watchin’ a bunch of chickens chasin’ after a bug. Back and forth, up and down the court. They runnin’ and passin’ and shootin’. And sometimes, that ball goes in the hoop, and sometimes it don’t. That’s basketball, I reckon.
I don’t know all them fancy plays they do, like pick-and-rolls and alley-oops and whatnot. Sounds like somethin’ you’d do on a farm, not a basketball court. But I see ’em workin’ together, passin’ the ball to each other, tryin’ to get a good shot. It’s like a team of horses pullin’ a plow, gotta work together to get the job done.
The Cavaliers are good this year, real good. Beatin’ them Lakers like that, that’s somethin’ to be proud of. But it’s a long season, they say. Gotta keep playin’ hard, gotta keep winnin’ games. Can’t get too cocky, just like you can’t count your chickens before they hatch.
I heard tell you can watch these games on somethin’ called Fubo, or on some Ohio channel. Sounds fancy, all that tech stuff. Me, I just watch it on the TV, plain and simple. See the ball go in the hoop, that’s all I need.
So, that’s my take on the Cavaliers versus Lakers game. Cavaliers won, they played good, and them Lakers, well, they need to get their act together, especially if that LeBron fella ain’t playin’. But that’s just my opinion, for what it’s worth. I’m just an old woman who likes watchin’ a good game of basketball, even if I don’t understand all the fancy stuff.
Now, I’m gonna go make myself some supper. All this talk about basketball made me hungry. Maybe I’ll have some fried chicken and mashed potatoes. That’ll fill me up good. And then maybe I’ll watch another game tomorrow, see if them Cavaliers can keep on winnin’. That’d be somethin’, wouldn’t it?
