Okay, so I was trying to solve this crossword puzzle in the LA Times, right? And I got totally stuck on this one clue: “Just decide.” I stared at it for like, 20 minutes. No joke. I went through all the words I could think of that meant the same thing.
I even started looking around the room for inspiration. Nothing. So then, I decided, you know what? I’m gonna hit up the internet. I typed the clue into the search bar, fingers crossed.
Finding Clues Online
- First thing that popped up was this page that promised to have all the answers for the LA Times Crossword. Perfect, I thought.
- Clicked on it, and it took me to this list of clues from the April 25th edition. I scrolled down to number 20, and there it was: “Just decide.”
- But get this, the answer wasn’t just one word, it was a whole phrase: MAKEUPYOURMIND. I never would have guessed that in a million years!
Puzzle Solved!
I plugged the phrase into the puzzle, and bam, it fit perfectly. The rest of the crossword was a breeze after that. I gotta say, I felt pretty good about figuring it out, even though I needed a little help from the internet. I found some other possible answers to the puzzle at other times. And I used the same method to check. The results are correct. It is worth mentioning that I was stuck on this clue for a long time because I thought it was just one word, which is why I’m here to share it with you.
Honestly, who knew crossword puzzles could be such a rollercoaster? Anyway, that’s my little adventure for the day. If any of you guys are into crosswords, hit me up! Maybe we can solve one together sometime, that is a great idea.
