Well, let me tell you somethin’ about this King of the Ring thing, this 2024 one. It was a big ol’ deal, a real big ol’ deal. Lots of folks talkin’ about it, you know? This wrasslin’ stuff, it’s somethin’ else. These fellas, they go at it, jumpin’ around and slammin’ each other. And this year, they had a queen too! Queen of the Ring, they called it. Makes sense, I reckon. Gotta have a queen if you got a king.
Now, I heard it was in some fancy place, some kinda dome. Jeddah Super Dome, that’s what they said. Sounds mighty important. They say it was on May 25th, 2024. Musta been somethin’ to see. These young folks and their wrasslin’. Back in my day, we didn’t have all this fancy stuff. But, you know, times change. And this King of the Ring 2024, it sure was a big change from the old days.
They got these fellas, big strong fellas, all tryin’ to be the king. And these gals, they’re tough too, all tryin’ to be the queen. They said it was the 12th time they did this king thing. But this time it’s called somethin’ new. King and Queen of the Ring now, like two peas in a pod. They had all sorts of these wrasslin’ matches. I don’t know all the names, but they was goin’ at it somethin’ fierce.
- This one gal, they call her Lyra somethin’. Lyra Valkyria. Sounds like a bird, doesn’t it?
- She was there, they said. Makes her entrance all fancy like. I saw a picture.
- They said she was at some other wrasslin’ thing too. NXT Stand and Deliver, they called it.
Now, they got this fella, some Dave fella. Heard he’s the one who gives out these star ratings. Like the stars in the sky, you know? He watches all this wrasslin’ and then tells everyone how good it was, gives it stars. I reckon that’s a job, ain’t it? Watchin’ wrasslin’ and givin’ out stars. This Dave Meltzer, he must know a thing or two about this King of the Ring stuff.
And these championships, they’re a big deal too. Undisputed WWE Championship, they call one of ’em. Sounds mighty important, don’t it? And then there’s the Women’s World Championship. That’s for the gals. Gotta have a prize for the queen, you know. These wrasslers, they all want these championships. It’s like bein’ the best of the best. Top dog, you know? Or top hen, I guess, for the ladies.
So this King and Queen of the Ring 2024, it was a big to-do. Lots of folks watchin’, lots of folks talkin’ about it. These star ratings, they get people all riled up. Everyone wants to know who got the most stars, who was the best. It’s all a big show, ain’t it? But it’s fun to watch, I reckon. Even for an old gal like me, it’s somethin’ to see.
I heard this Dave Meltzer fella, he wrote about it all in some newsletter. Wrestling Observer Newsletter, I think they called it. He puts all his thoughts and these star ratings in there. I reckon folks read that to see what he thinks. He’s like the judge of all this wrasslin’. He decides who’s good and who ain’t. And his stars, well, they mean somethin’ in this wrasslin’ world.
These young folks today, they sure love their wrasslin’. They get all excited about these King and Queen of the Ring things. And these star ratings, they’re like gold to ’em. They want to know who got the best ratings, who was the best wrassler. It’s all a big competition, ain’t it? Just like life, I reckon. Everyone tryin’ to be the best, tryin’ to get those stars.
Well, I don’t know all the ins and outs of this wrasslin’ stuff. But I do know it’s a big deal. And this King of the Ring 2024, it was a mighty big deal. With all these fellas and gals wrasslin’ their hearts out, tryin’ to be king and queen. And this Dave fella givin’ out his stars. It’s a whole different world, ain’t it? But it’s somethin’ to see, that’s for sure. Somethin’ to see.
I guess that’s all I got to say about this here King of the Ring. It’s a lot of hoopla, that’s for sure. These folks sure do love their wrasslin’, and they sure do love them star ratings. I reckon it’s just like anythin’ else, you gotta have somethin’ to aim for, somethin’ to strive for. And these wrasslers, they’re strivin’ for them championships, and them stars from that Dave fella. And in 2024, it was a big year for ’em, that’s for sure.
