under the knife recently. It was heart surgery, which always sounds a bit scary, but luckily, everything went well. He had an aortic aneurysm, which is basically a bulge in the aorta, the main artery that carries blood from your heart. They had to repair his aortic valve too.
It’s kind of wild to think that the guy who’s leading your team on the court needs surgery like this, right? I mean, coaches are supposed to be tough and full of energy, right? But sometimes life throws you a curveball.
The good news is that the surgery was a success! The doctors got everything fixed up, and Juwan is expected to be back on his feet in a few weeks. He’s going to need some time to heal, but he’s expected to be back coaching the Wolverines within four to six weeks.
This situation really makes you realize how important it is to take care of yourself, right? You never know what life might throw your way. And it’s a reminder that even the toughest guys in the world need to take care of their health.
Speaking of tough guys, remember Mick Jagger from the Rolling Stones? He had heart surgery too! He had to postpone their tour, which is a bummer, but at least he’s recovering.
Honestly, I’m just glad that Juwan is doing okay. I can’t wait to see him back on the sidelines, motivating the Wolverines to win!
What are your thoughts on athletes and coaches needing to take time for their health? Do you think it’s important for them to prioritize their well-being even if it means missing games or performances?
