Okay, so I’ve been digging into this José Berríos guy, the pitcher for the Twins. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster, let me tell you.

Getting Started
First, I pulled up his basic stats. You know, the usual stuff – ERA, wins, losses, strikeouts. Just wanted to get a feel for his overall performance. I spent a good hour just browsing different websites, getting a sense of his career trajectory.
Diving Deeper
Then, I started watching some game footage. I focused on his pitching mechanics, his different pitches, how he handles pressure situations. This was way more interesting than just staring at numbers. I probably watched about five or six of his starts, pausing and rewinding to really see what he’s doing.
- I first viewed some of his best games.
- I spent about two hours to find the game footage about him from different platforms.
- I tried to analyze his styles.
The Ups and Downs
It’s clear the guy’s got talent. Some games, he’s absolutely lights out. Dominating hitters, throwing nasty curveballs. Other games… well, not so much. He can be a bit inconsistent, which I guess is part of the game, but it was interesting to see the contrast.I also observed it.
Putting it Together
After all this digging, I feel like I have a much better understanding of Berríos. He’s not just a stat sheet; he’s a real pitcher with strengths and weaknesses. I realized that, It’s been fun to go through this process of really getting to know a player beyond the surface level.
I’ve noted down everything, and will keep learning his styles.
