Alright, let’s talk about this Jordan Spieth fella and the guy who carries his golf clubs, what do they call him? Oh yeah, a caddie. His name is Michael Greller, I think. Been hearin’ about them on the TV, them fellas playin’ that fancy golf game.
Jordan Spieth and his caddie, Michael Greller, they been together a long time now. Since, what, 2011? That’s a good while, longer than some marriages last, I tell ya! And they done won a bunch of stuff too, three of them big championships, they call ’em “majors.” Sounds important.
- They winnin’ a lot, that’s for sure.
- That Spieth kid, he’s pretty good, but that caddie, he must be doin’ somethin’ right too. Carrying them clubs, keepin’ ’em clean, tellin’ Spieth which way the wind blows, I guess. It’s more than just lugging bags, you know.
- Seen ’em on that Netflix thingy, “Full Swing” they call it. The caddie, Greller, he’s in it too. Seems like a nice fella, from Seattle way, they say.
He and Spieth, they like peas in a pod, you know? Workin’ together good. Like me and my old man used to be, ‘cept we was workin’ the farm, not hittin’ little white balls around.
Now, Jordan Spieth, he’s a young fella, but he’s done won a whole heap of tournaments. Them golf fellas, they count all them wins, and Spieth, he’s got a bunch. And that Thomas fella too, Justin Thomas, they say he’s good. Them two young’uns, they won a lot, all together, more than most. Them young guys today, they play real different, always hitting the ball so far, it is amazing.
Spieth, he almost won that Masters thing again in 2017, you know. That green jacket, they call it. He already had one, wanted another one I reckon. Didn’t get it that time, but he’ll keep tryin’, him and that caddie of his. Greller, that’s his name. He’ll be right there with him, carryin’ them clubs, helpin’ him out.
They got this picture of them, Spieth and Greller, on the golf course, in some place called Kapalua. Pretty place, I guess. All green and sunny. They’re on the 9th hole, lookin’ serious, like they always do when they’re playin’ that golf game.
So, this Michael Greller, he’s more than just a caddie, see? He’s like a partner to Spieth. They’re a team, them two. And that’s important, in golf and in life, I figure. You need someone you can count on, someone who’s got your back, like that caddie has got Spieth’s back. It ain’t just about the golf, it’s about the trust, the friendship, the knowing each other so well, they don’t need much talking sometime.
I tell you, watching them fellas play golf, it’s somethin’ else. All that walking, all that thinking, all that pressure. Not like workin’ in the fields, that’s for sure. But it’s hard work in its own way, I guess. And that caddie, he’s workin’ hard too, even if he ain’t hittin’ the ball. He probably knows Spieth better than anyone else on the course. They have a special bond you don’t see everywhere. Them being together so long says something, doesn’t it?
So, there you have it. Jordan Spieth and his caddie, Michael Greller. A good team, them two. And that’s all there is to it, ain’t it? They keep playing and we keep watching I guess.
