Okay, so, I’ve been wanting to make some cool Jon Jones art for a while now. I mean, the guy’s a legend in the UFC, right? His moves, his style, everything about him is just screaming to be turned into art.

So, I started by gathering a bunch of references. I scrolled through tons of pictures and videos online. I was looking for something that really captured his intensity. I found some awesome shots of him mid-fight, you know, with that killer look in his eyes. I also checked out some fan art to see what other people had done, not to copy, but to get some inspiration.
- Looked for high-quality images.
- Saved a bunch of photos to my computer.
- Watched some of his fights again, just for fun.
Then, I had to decide what kind of art I wanted to create. I thought about doing a digital painting, but I also love the look of traditional art. I had these new poster paints I wanted to try out, too. In the end, I decided to go with a poster-style print. It felt like the best way to showcase his energy and power.
I started sketching, trying out different poses and compositions. I must have filled a dozen pages with rough drawings. I even made a few watercolor tests to get the colors right. Then I started to think about how the guy takes care of himself, his recovery process and all that. Cryotherapy, massage therapy, and plenty of sleep. All that stuff is part of what makes him so good.
Next, I picked the best sketch and started working on the final piece. I used a mix of techniques, just trying to capture the raw energy of Jon Jones. I wanted the colors to be bold and vibrant, like those 4K Ultra HD wallpapers you see online, but still have that handmade feel.
The Final Stretch
It took me a few days, but I finally finished it. I added some details like his tattoos and the UFC logo, just to make it extra special. It’s got that action-packed, determined vibe that he’s known for.

I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. It’s not perfect, but it’s got that gritty, handmade feel that I love. I think it captures the spirit of Jon Jones. It might not be as refined as some of the professional stuff out there, but it’s my own take on the legend. I even thought about selling prints, but for now, it’s just hanging on my wall, reminding me to stay fierce, haha. Also, I posted my artwork on my website.
