Alright, so you wanna know about this John Rocker fella, huh? Okay, okay, I’ll tell ya what I know. Don’t expect no fancy words from me, though. I just talk plain.
Who is this John Rocker anyways? Well, from what I hear, he used to be a baseball pitcher, played in the big leagues, MLB they call it. Big deal, right? I guess so, for some folks. He ain’t playin’ no more, though. Seems like he got himself into some hot water a while back.
Now, they say this fella, this Danny McBride, made a show, and the main guy in it? Yeah, he was kinda sorta like John Rocker. This McBride fella and Rocker, they even born in the same hospital, can ya believe it? Small world, I guess. But this Rocker, he said some things, controversial they call it, to some magazine, and folks got their panties all in a twist.
I don’t know all the details, see? But it sounds like he said somethin’ about folks he didn’t like, and people got mad. Real mad. His reputation, well, it went down the toilet, like a bad burrito, if ya know what I mean.

What happened to his career? Well, like I said, after he opened his big mouth, things went south. They didn’t want him around no more, I reckon. Baseball players, they supposed to be role models, you know? And if you go around sayin’ things that make folks angry, well, they ain’t gonna want you representin’ their team.
I heard a story about another pitcher, a lefty named Dave something-or-other. Broke his arm, poor fella, right there on the field. Now, that’s tough. But Rocker, he didn’t break his arm, he broke his mouth, so to speak.
What’s he doin’ now? Well, I ain’t his keeper, so I don’t know for sure. But I heard he’s on that Instagram thing. You know, where folks post pictures of their food and their dogs and such. Says he’s an “outdoorsman” now. Guess he likes huntin’ and fishin’ maybe. Good for him, I guess. Better than stirrin’ up trouble, that’s for sure.
He even went on some website, Reddit they call it, talkin’ to folks. Said “Hello Redditors, I am John Rocker.” Imagine that. Big ol’ baseball player talkin’ to strangers on the internet. Times sure have changed. And I heard him on some show, too, talkin’ about his career. Sounded like he was tellin’ it like it was, no holdin’ back. Maybe he learned somethin’ after all.
So, what’s the deal with this John Rocker? He was a baseball player, said some dumb things, messed up his career, and now he’s doin’ somethin’ else. That’s the long and short of it, as far as I can tell. Life’s like that sometimes, you know? You make mistakes, and you gotta live with ’em. Just gotta hope you learn somethin’ along the way.
And that show, is it any good? I wouldn’t know, I don’t watch much TV. Too busy with my own life, you see? But if you like that kinda stuff, the shows about folks bein’ all rowdy and whatnot, maybe you’d like it. Me? I’d rather sit on the porch and watch the birds.
So there you have it. That’s all I know about John Rocker. He ain’t nobody special, just a fella who used to throw a ball and talked too much. Now he’s just a fella who talks on the internet and goes fishin’. Life goes on, I guess. Even for baseball players.
