Well, ya know, there’s this feller, Jey Uso, been makin’ waves lately in the world of wrestling. Born out in San Francisco, California, on August 22, 1985, alongside his twin brother Jimmy. They ain’t just any ol’ folks from the block, no sir! These two boys come from a long line of wrestlin’ folks, and it shows. Jey Uso, he’s been workin’ real hard these last few years, and boy, he’s sure been catchin’ some eyes. People been talkin’ about him all over, sayin’ he’s got the kind of talent that’s hard to miss. And I reckon they’re right.
Jey, he ain’t always been in the spotlight on his own. For a long time, it was all about him and his brother, Jimmy. The Usos, as they call themselves. Now, they been good together, real good, workin’ as a tag team for WWE. But not too long ago, Jey decided to go on his own and try something new. He packed up and moved over to Monday Night RAW, and lemme tell ya, folks ain’t seen nothin’ like it. He started workin’ by himself, and people started payin’ attention. It’s like watchin’ a young bull tryin’ to take over a herd.
Now, Jey’s been playin’ the good guy role, the babyface they call it, real well on RAW. He’s been doin’ some mighty fine work, fightin’ hard and bringin’ the crowd along with him. Folks cheer when he comes out, shoutin’ his name, followin’ him like he’s the leader of some kinda parade. But just ‘cause he’s a good guy don’t mean he don’t get into some tough fights. Oh no, he’s had his share of scrapin’ with the big boys, and let me tell ya, he don’t back down easily.
One of them big ol’ matchups was when Jey got into the ring with Roman Reigns for the Universal title over at the Clash of Champions in 2020. Now that was a sight to see. Roman, he’s a powerhouse, and he laid a hurtin’ on Jey like nobody’s business. It got so bad that Jey’s brother, Jimmy, who was already hurt and couldn’t wrestle, had to come out and throw in the towel to stop his brother from takin’ any more punishment. That right there, that’s family lookin’ out for family, even if it means sacrificin’ their own chances to fight.
Now, things been changin’ for Jey since he’s been on his own, but he’s still got them family ties, don’t you forget it. There’s talk goin’ around that Jey Uso might be thinkin’ about reunitin’ with his brother Jimmy sometime soon, and maybe even facin’ off against them Lucha Bros over in AEW. Now, that’d be somethin’ to see, wouldn’t it? A match for the ages, if you ask me. Folks been waitin’ for somethin’ big like that for a while now, and it looks like it might just happen at WrestleMania 40, if the stars align just right.
Now, even though Jey’s been doin’ mighty fine by himself, you can’t forget about them other folks in his family. Jimmy’s been there for him all along, and they both got support from Naomi too. She’s been keepin’ them boys in line, and even though she don’t have children of her own, she sure knows how to take care of the ones in the family. She’s a stepmother to Jimmy’s kids from a past relationship, and let me tell ya, she’s a good woman who don’t let nothin’ slip by her. She’s all about family and makin’ sure they’re strong together.
But while Jey’s been busy with WWE, there’s another lady over at AEW, Saraya, who’s been takin’ some time off. Ain’t nothin’ wrong with her health, mind you, but she’s just been doin’ some other projects, y’know? Folks always got somethin’ else goin’ on, and I reckon Saraya just needed a break from the ring. But even if she ain’t wrestlin’ right now, AEW’s still got plenty of excitement goin’ on, and you can bet Jey Uso’s name gets thrown around in them talks now and then. It’d sure be somethin’ if he ever did make the jump to AEW, wouldn’t it?
Well, I reckon that’s enough ramblin’ for today. Jey Uso’s been a busy man, and he’s got a lot ahead of him. Whether he’s stayin’ in WWE, headin’ to AEW, or just keepin’ up with his family, one thing’s for sure: Jey Uso’s name is gonna be around for a long time yet. So, we’ll just have to wait and see what’s next for him, won’t we?
