That Jason Day, he’s a fancy one, ain’t he? Always in the news, that one. Now he’s all about them Malbon Golf outfits. What’s Malbon Golf? Well, some fancy pants brand, I reckon. They say it’s for golf, but it looks like them young’uns’ street clothes to me. All colorful and whatnot.
They got a big store openin’ up, bigger than all the others, they say. It’s in the Philippines, wherever that is. Must be far. These Malbon folks, Stephen and Erica, a couple, they started this whole thing. Back in 2017, if you can believe it. Time sure does fly, don’t it? They say they wanna make golf more fun for the young folks. Mixin’ it up with that street style. Whatever that means.
Now, this Jason Day, he’s loaded. They say he’s got 50 million bucks. 50 million! Can you imagine? I can’t even count that high. He was on that Forbes list, you know, the one with all them rich folks. Made 23.6 million in one year. Lord have mercy. He’s one of them richest golfers in the whole wide world.
Malbon, they call themselves a “lifestyle brand.” Inspired by golf, they say. Sounds like a load of hooey to me. But hey, what do I know? I’m just a simple person. This Jason Day, he used to wear Nike. You know, them swoosh shoes and clothes. They paid him 10 million a year, they say. Just to wear their stuff. Can you believe that? 10 million! Then Nike stopped makin’ golf clubs and whatnot, so Jason went to Malbon.

Now he’s their first, what do they call it, “PGA Tour ambassador.” Sounds important. He gets to wear their clothes, and I guess they pay him a pretty penny for it. He says it’s nice to wear somethin’ no one else is wearin’. Well, good for him, I suppose.
Jason Day’s Malbon outfits, always in the news it seems. Some folks like ’em, some don’t. They say it’s breakin’ the rules, makin’ golf more modern. I don’t know about all that. Golf is golf, ain’t it? But these young’uns today, they like to change everything. They like them bright colors. He wore this one outfit, looked like he was goin’ to a circus or somethin’. Stripes and all sorts.
Me, I like my clothes simple. Comfortable. Don’t need no fancy Malbon Golf outfits. A good pair of overalls is all I need. But hey, to each their own, right? If Jason likes wearin’ them clothes, and they pay him good money, who am I to judge? He’s a good golfer, that Jason. Won a lot of tournaments. I seen him on the TV a few times.
These Malbon Golf outfits, though, they sure are somethin’ else. Lots of folks talkin’ about ’em. On the internet, on the TV, everywhere. Guess that’s what they wanted, huh? Get people talkin’. And it’s workin’. Even I’m talkin’ about it, and I don’t even know much about golf.
They got all sorts of clothes, these Malbon folks. Shirts, pants, hats, even shoes I reckon. All with that golf theme. But like I said, it looks more like them street clothes to me. But what do I know? I’m just an old timer. Maybe I don’t understand these newfangled things.
This Jason Day, he seems happy with it, though. He’s smilin’ in all the pictures. And he’s still playin’ good golf. So I guess it ain’t hurtin’ his game none. Maybe it’s even helpin’ it. Who knows? These young folks, they got all sorts of ideas.
