Man, you will not believe the day I had. So, I went to the Indiana Bulls tryouts. Yeah, the baseball team. I’ve been practicing my pitches and swings for months now, dreaming of getting a spot. I woke up super early, couldn’t even eat much breakfast because of the nerves, you know?
I arrived at the field, and let me tell you, the place was buzzing. There were so many guys there, all looking as eager and nervous as I felt. I saw they had different age groups, like, from 8U all the way up to 17U. I registered for the 17U group. After registering, I did my warm-ups to calm my nervous.
First off, they had us do some warm-up drills. You know, the usual stuff, running, stretching, throwing a few balls. I tried to focus and not psych myself out, seeing all these talented players around me. I noticed some familiar faces too, guys I’d played against in other leagues. It was intense!
Then came the actual tryouts. I did multiple activities, such as catching, batting, and running, to show my baseball skills. I tried my best and took a deep breath. I did well in both batting and catching. Finally, I completed all the tryout activities.
After the tryouts, I talked with some coaches and players. I also got a chance to talk to some other players. We all shared the same mix of excitement and anxiety, waiting to see if we made the cut. They said they have several teams, like 17 Black, 17 White, 17 Grey, and so on. The competition is fierce.
They mentioned that they’d post the results soon. So now, it’s just a waiting game. Honestly, it’s nerve-wracking, but I’m also proud of myself for putting myself out there. It’s a chance to be part of the #BullsFam.
I left the field feeling a mix of exhaustion and hope. It was a tough day, but honestly, I loved every minute of it. Even if I don’t make it this time, it was an awesome experience. I learned a lot, met some cool people, and got to play some serious baseball. But fingers crossed, right? I’m really hoping to get that callback. That would be a dream come true. Anyway, I just had to share this with someone. It’s been on my mind all day!
