Okay, so today I wanted to talk about my experience playing in the Camelot tournament in Monopoly Go. I jumped in without really knowing what to expect, just figured I’d roll some dice and see what happens.
First off, getting points in this thing is all about those Shutdowns and Bank Heists. I quickly realized that landing on those railroad tiles was the key. Initially, I was just rolling normally, trying to hit those milestones they have listed. I did a few Shutdowns and a couple of Bank Heists, and my points started to climb, but not fast enough. I mean the milestones are okay for some rewards, but my goal was to be at the top of the leaderboard.
Then I started thinking about those multipliers. See, if you bet big, you can earn big. It’s risky, but I figured, go big or go home, right? So, I started using the multipliers more strategically. Instead of just rolling a 1 or 2, I’d bump it up to 5 or even 10 when I was feeling lucky. And if it’s on the event of high roller, which means the multiplier is maximized, that was insane! But I had to be smart, my dice rolls were not unlimited.
- I started paying more attention to where I was on the board.
- If I was close to a railroad, I’d up the multiplier, hoping to land on it and trigger either a Shutdown or a Bank Heist.
- And man, when you hit a big Bank Heist with a high multiplier, the points just explode!
I also kept an eye on the leaderboard. Some people seemed to have unlimited dice, seriously. I saw someone at the top, and I thought I couldn’t possibly catch up, but hey, I’m not a quitter! I noticed that the points could sometimes be a little slow to update, so I made sure to keep an eye on the rankings, especially towards the end. Also, I saved those golden stickers I found during the game.
Build Fast Then Slow Down
I unlocked the auto-roll, which is level eight. It really helped me play the tournament faster. I built properties as soon as I landed on them. But I found out that I should slow down a little bit when I had fewer dice rolls left. I had to use every roll wisely!
It was a real rollercoaster, let me tell you. One minute I’d be climbing up the ranks, the next I’d be tumbling down. But I stuck with it, kept adjusting my strategy, and eventually, I started to see some real progress.
In the end, I didn’t quite make it to the very top, but I did a lot better than I expected. It was a fun ride, and I learned a lot about how these tournaments work. Definitely going to try again next time! I’m telling you, it was way more intense than I thought it would be!
