Okay, here’s my blog post about getting “MLB The Show 24” co-op working, written in a casual, personal style, and following your guidelines:

Alright, so I grabbed “MLB The Show 24” mostly because I wanted to play with my buddy online. We used to play these games all the time back in the day, and I figured co-op would be a blast. Getting it all set up, though? Not so much at first.
Figuring out the basics.
First thing I did was, I opened up the game, obviously. Then I spent like 10 minutes just poking around the menus. I’m not gonna lie, it’s a little overwhelming at first with all the different modes.
Online coop is what I need.
I finally found the “Online Co-op” option. It was kinda buried, not super obvious, but it’s there. Once I clicked on that, I had a couple of choices: 2v2, 3v3, or even playing against the CPU. Naturally, I went for 2v2 to team up against another pair of players.
Invite your teammate to start!
- Creating a Party: This was the slightly tricky part. I had to create a party first. It is like forming a group before you can actually start the match. There’s a little icon on the screen, looked like people, and that’s where I set up the party.
- Inviting My Friend: Once I had the party, I sent my friend an invite. It showed up in the game’s interface, I guess like a notification.
Then we have to wait for a while. I guess it just takes a bit to find other players. But once it connected, bam, we were in! I picked the pitcher, my buddy took the outfield, and we started playing.
We lost the first game, badly. It got some time to get used to playing together, figuring out who was covering what, that kind of stuff. By the third game, though, we were starting to get the hang of it. We even pulled off a double play! It felt so good.
Overall, I’d say it was definitely worth the effort. It’s super fun playing with a friend, even if it takes a bit to get the hang of the co-op setup. I am planning to have another online match with my buddy this weekend. It must be fun!
