Alright, so I wanted to figure out this whole thing with the submarine pitchers in MLB The Show 23. You know, those guys who throw all funky-like from down under? I ain’t no pro, but I gave it a shot.
First off, I jumped into a few games, just to see what I was up against. Man, those pitches come in low and weird. It’s like they’re coming out of the ground or something. I tried all sorts of things at first, you know, moving my PCI all around, trying to guess where the ball was gonna go. Nothing was really working.
Then, I remembered reading somewhere to keep the PCI in the middle, and it might be helpful. So, I started doing that. Instead of chasing the ball all over the place, I just planted my PCI right in the middle of the zone, like a steady rock.
Next, I tried to focus on the batter’s stride, which was another tip. I watched my batter’s front foot real close. I know when the batter plants his front foot, it’s the time to swing.
It took a bunch of tries, and I struck out a lot, not gonna lie. But slowly, I started to get the hang of it. I started to see the ball a little better, and my timing got a little sharper. I even managed to get a few hits! It wasn’t pretty, but hey, a hit’s a hit, right?
- Keep that PCI steady: Just park it in the middle and don’t go chasing waterfalls… I mean, pitches.
- Watch the foot: I know the batter’s front foot movement is the key for the swing timing.
- Practice makes perfect: I just kept swinging, and eventually, I started connecting more.
By the fifth or sixth batter, I usually had a pretty good feel for it, and the AI would often pull the submarine pitcher. At least, that’s how it went on the lower difficulty levels. I haven’t braved the higher ones yet.
I even tried tilting my head like one guy suggested, but that just made me dizzy, haha. Maybe that works for some folks, but not for me.
So, that’s my experience with those submarine pitchers in MLB The Show 23. It’s tough, but not impossible. Just gotta be patient, keep that PCI steady, and watch for the batter’s stride. And hey, if all else fails, maybe just hope they get pulled from the game! You’re not alone in this, and with a little practice, you’ll be knocking those submarine pitches out of the park in no time!
I’ll keep at it and see if I can get even better. It’s all about having fun, right?
What I’ve learned:
- It’s okay to struggle: This stuff is hard! Don’t get discouraged if you don’t get it right away.
- Keep learning: There are always new things to try and new ways to improve.
- Enjoy the process: Even when it’s frustrating, remember that you’re playing a game, and games are supposed to be fun!
If anyone else has any tips or tricks, feel free to share them! We’re all in this together, trying to hit those crazy pitches. Good luck, and have fun out there!
