Okay, so I’ve been trying to get in touch with Michael Oher, the football guy. You know, the one from “The Blind Side” movie? Yeah, that guy. I had this idea, see, and I really wanted to run it by him. I thought maybe he’d be interested in joining up on this project I’m working on.
First, I scoured the internet for any kind of contact info. I figured he’d have some sort of foundation or something, right? Turns out, he does! It’s called the Oher Foundation. Apparently, he’s been doing some good stuff for communities since he retired from football. That’s pretty cool, I gotta say.
But here’s the thing, I couldn’t find any direct contact information on the foundation’s website. Not an email, not a phone number, nothing. It was all about what they do, which is great, but not helpful for me.
- I tried searching for his agent or manager.
- I even checked out his fan page, thinking maybe there’d be something there. Over 700,000 likes, wow!
- I stumbled upon a few websites that claimed to have his contact details, but they all looked kind of sketchy.
Then I remembered reading somewhere that he’s got four kids with his partner, Tiffany Roy, whom he met back in college. Maybe I could reach out to her? But that felt a little too intrusive, you know?
I did find a couple of speaker bureaus that represent him. All American Speakers Bureau and Gotham Artists, I think they were called. They had forms to fill out for booking inquiries, so I gave that a shot. I filled out the forms, explaining who I was and what I wanted to talk to Michael about. I kept it short and sweet, hoping they’d get back to me.
Still waiting
So yeah, that’s where I’m at now. I played the waiting game. It’s a long shot, I know, but hey, you never know unless you try, right? Hopefully, someone will see my message and pass it along. Fingers crossed!
