So, today I tried to rename my ship in Sea of Thieves. I’ve been sailing the seas for a while now, and I thought it was time for a change, you know? Freshen things up a bit.
First, I launched the game and stared at the main menu for a while, just admiring the view. Then, I clicked on “Play” and chose “Adventure.” My eyes went straight to the “My Ships” tab. I felt like a kid in a candy store, but instead of candy, it was ships!
Finding the Rename Option
I spent quite a bit of time looking for the option to rename my ship. Eventually, I realized I needed something called a “Ship Renaming Deed.” Apparently, it’s the key to unlocking the power of renaming. This deed lets you change the name without losing any progress on your ship’s milestones.
The Pirate Emporium
This “Ship Renaming Deed” was in a place called the “Pirate Emporium.” So, I clicked on that in the main menu. I navigated to the “Captaincy” tab and there it was, the “Ship Renaming Deed.” It felt like finding buried treasure, except this treasure cost Ancient Coins.
Purchasing the Deed
The deed cost 499 Ancient Coins. Luckily, I had enough. I clicked “Buy” and just like that, I was the proud owner of a Ship Renaming Deed. If you don’t have enough coins, the game will prompt you to buy more. Pretty straightforward, I guess.
Actually Renaming the Ship
After getting the deed, I went back to the “My Ships” menu. I selected my ship and there was the option to change the name. I typed in the new name, a masterpiece if I do say so myself. It didn’t take long before the name change was official.
Important Notes
- Character Limit: Your ship’s name can only be up to 20 characters long. Keep it short and sweet!
- No Numbers: You can’t use numbers in your ship’s name, which is a bummer.
- One-Time Use: Each “Ship Renaming Deed” can only be used once. So, choose your name wisely!
And that’s how I changed the name of my ship in Sea of Thieves. It was a bit of a process, but totally worth it. Now, my ship has a new identity, and I’m ready for new adventures!
