Okay, so I got curious about Felix Auger-Aliassime’s parents the other day. You know how it is, you watch a player, and you start wondering about their background.

My Process Finding Out
First thing, I just went online. Didn’t do anything fancy, just typed “Felix Auger-Aliassime parents” into the search bar. Simple as that. Needed to get the basics down.
Pretty quickly, I found their names. His father is Sam Aliassime and his mother is Marie Auger. Got those down right away.
Then I wanted a bit more detail. So, I looked into Sam Aliassime first.
- Found out he’s originally from Togo. That was interesting. Explains part of Felix’s heritage.
- Also saw that Sam is a tennis coach, or at least was heavily involved in teaching tennis. Makes total sense how Felix got started, right? Father being a coach.
Next, I focused on Marie Auger.
- Found out she’s French-Canadian, from Quebec. That fits, Felix grew up speaking French in Montreal.
- Read somewhere she worked as a teacher. Provides that stable, supportive side, I guess. Balancing out the athletic focus.
It seems like they were both super supportive. You often hear about tennis parents, and it sounds like Sam was key in getting him into the sport and coaching him early on, while Marie provided that solid foundation at home. They met in Canada, I think, after Sam moved there from Togo.

I also remember seeing something about Felix having a sister, Malika, who apparently also played tennis. Seems like it runs in the family.
So, that was basically my little research session. Just digging around, putting the pieces together. Nothing too complicated, just following the trail from a simple search to get a clearer picture of where he comes from. It always helps understand the player a bit more, I think.
