Alright, so I wanted to make a Hokies football depth chart for the 2024-25 season. I started by searching on the web for what a depth chart even was. It turns out that it’s just a list of all the players in order of who’s starting and who’s backing them up. Simple enough, right?
I started digging for info on the Virginia Tech Hokies. I found some stuff about the team, including some recent games. I saw something about a game in Durham, North Carolina, on November 23, 2024. I guess that’s a game to look forward to.
Then I started looking for the actual players. I made some notes about two players who are supposed to make their first starts soon. The first one is Thomas Williams and the second one is Dante Lovett, both cornerbacks. They’ve played in a bunch of games already this season, so they’re not totally new. I figured I’d keep an eye on how they do.
Offensive Positions
- I started with the offensive positions. I don’t have the full list yet, but it’s a work in progress. I looked at a few positions and made some notes about who’s likely to start and who might be a backup. It’s kinda fun to guess who will be the main guys on the field.
Defensive Positions
- Next, I moved on to the defensive positions. Again, I don’t have the full list here, but I looked at some key positions. I saw that Williams and Lovett are listed as starters for the cornerback spots. There were other names, but these two stood out since they’re making their first starts.
After looking at some players, I started putting together my own depth chart. It’s not complete, but it’s getting there. I used the info I found online and added my own thoughts. It’s a good start, and I’ll keep adding to it as I find out more.
So that’s where I’m at with my Hokies football depth chart project. It’s been interesting to learn about the team and try to figure out who will be playing where. I’ll keep working on it and see if I can make a full depth chart for the whole team. It’s tougher than I thought, but also kind of fun.
