Apparently, there’s some version of this card where Greer Johnson’s name is listed on the back, but it’s supposed to be Mickey Mantle’s stats, because of the front image of the card showed. A misprint!

I headed over to an auction site. I typed “1957 Topps Greer Johnson Mickey Mantle” into their search bar, and sure enough, a few listings popped up. The description of that card error was introduced, very interesting.

So, basically, it looks like I uncovered a bit of a baseball card mystery! It’s not every day you find a card with a Hall of Famer like Mickey Mantle and a lesser-known player like Greer Johnson mixed up together. I think I learned a lot through my exploration, and maybe I will keep an eye out for this card and buy it someday.
