Okay, so I’ve been messing around with Goblin decks in the game, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride! I wanted to share my experience building and playing with these little green guys, because, honestly, it’s been more fun (and frustrating) than I expected.

First Steps: Getting Those Goblins
First things first, I needed to actually get some goblins. I started by cracking open a bunch of packs, hoping to get lucky. I did get a few decent ones, but mostly a lot of, well, not-so-great ones. I also looked at buying specific cards, I am not gonna share where and how I got them. It was a bit of a mix-and-match approach to begin with.
Building the Deck: Trial and Error (Lots of Error)
Building the deck itself was… interesting. My initial idea was just to throw a bunch of goblins together and see what happened. Spoiler alert: it didn’t go well. I got absolutely crushed in my first few matches. It turns out, just having a lot of goblins isn’t enough. Who knew?
So, I went back to the drawing board. I started thinking about synergies. You know, cards that work well together. I looked for goblins that buffed other goblins, goblins that could generate tokens, and goblins that could, you know, actually do some damage.
- The Lords: These guys are key. They usually give all your other goblins some kind of bonus, like +1/+1 or haste. Super important!
- The Token Generators: Having a bunch of little goblin tokens is great for overwhelming your opponent.
- The Damage Dealers: Some goblins are just better at hitting hard. Gotta have a few of those.
Testing and Refining: The Grind
After I had a deck that looked like it might work, I started playing. A lot. And I lost. A lot. But with each loss, I learned something. I started tweaking the deck, swapping out cards that weren’t pulling their weight, and adding in cards that seemed like they might help.
This was probably the most time-consuming part. It was a constant process of playing, losing, tweaking, playing, losing a bit less, tweaking some more, and so on. I realized I needed some way to deal with bigger creatures, so I added some removal spells. Also some card draw is crucial, found some goblins can do that, so I wouldn’t run out of steam in the late game.

Finally! A Goblin Deck That Works (Sometimes)
Eventually, I ended up with a deck that I was actually winning with! It’s not perfect, and I still lose sometimes (okay, maybe more than sometimes), but it’s fun. The feeling of swarming your opponent with a horde of angry little goblins is just… satisfying.
My deck now have strong synergy and I can win some games if playing right. I am still learning it.
So, that’s my goblin deck journey. It’s been messy, it’s been frustrating, but it’s also been a blast. If you’re thinking about building a goblin deck, I say go for it! Just be prepared for a bit of a grind. And remember, even when you’re losing, you’re still learning. And hey, at least you’re losing with goblins!
