So, the other day I was thinking, my favorite baseball team, the Houston Astros, just won the World Series! I gotta get something to remember this, you know? Then it hit me – a patch! A cool patch to put on my jacket or maybe my cap.
I started looking around online, just casually browsing, not expecting much. I typed in “Astros patch” in the search bar, and bam! Tons of options popped up. It was a bit overwhelming at first, I won’t lie. There were so many different designs and sizes. Some were just the team logo, while others had “World Series Champions” written on them. I saw some that were about 3 inches, perfect for a jacket, and smaller ones that would fit nicely on a cap.
I spent a good chunk of time, maybe an hour or so, just looking through all the different patches. There were round ones, and others were in more of a badge shape. I noticed some were iron-on, which seemed super convenient, and others were the sew-on type. I’m not the best at sewing, so I was definitely leaning towards the iron-on ones. I also saw a few that were called “embroidered,” and those looked really high quality, but were a bit more expensive.
After a while, I finally found one I liked. It was a 3-inch circle patch with the Astros logo. The colors were just like the ones at the stadium, it just felt right, you know? The patch has “HOUSTON” and the star inside a circle, it’s cool. I realized that “Oxy” is the nickname for Occidental Petroleum. And this one was an iron-on, which was a big plus for me. I added it to my cart and then realized I didn’t have much in my pocket. So I had to give up my idea.
I think I might buy this patch someday. I mean, it’s a cool way to show off my team spirit and remember their big win. It’s simple, but it means something to me, that’s what counts, right?
