Alright, so it’s game day for the Chiefs, and like a lot of folks, I get curious about who’s officiating. Sometimes you just gotta know, right? It feels like it can impact the game, or maybe I just like having all the details.

So, here’s what I did this morning. First thing, finished my coffee, obviously. Then I grabbed my phone – easier than firing up the laptop for a quick check.
My Process:
- Opened up my usual web browser. Nothing fancy, just the one I always use.
- Went straight to my favorite search engine. You know the one.
- Typed in something simple like “NFL referees Chiefs game today” or maybe it was “Chiefs vs [Opponent Name] officials”. Can’t remember the exact words, just mashed something similar in there.
- Hit search and scanned the results. Usually, the first few links are sports news sites or the official NFL site.
Now, this is where it can get a little tricky sometimes. Some sites bury the info, others put it front and center.
Finding the Actual Names
I clicked on a couple of the top links. First one was a general game preview, had stats and stuff, but no refs listed immediately. Annoying.
Backed out of that one. Clicked the next link, I think it was from a major sports network’s site. Scrolled down the page, past the betting odds and injury reports. You gotta wade through a bit.
And there it was! Usually, it’s in a small section, sometimes labeled “Officials” or “Referee Crew”. Found the head referee’s name and the rest of the crew listed right there – Umpire, Down Judge, the whole lot.
Success! Didn’t take too long today. Sometimes you have to dig a bit more, maybe check a couple of different sites, but usually, one of the big sports news outlets reporting on the game will have the crew listed somewhere in their preview article before kickoff.
So yeah, that was my little mission this morning. Got the names I was looking for. Now just gotta wait for the game itself.
