Okay, so I saw this wild idea online about making characters in Genshin Impact basically ball-shaped. I thought, “No way, that’s gotta be hilarious,” so I decided to give it a shot myself. I mean, who wouldn’t want to see a spherical Diluc rolling around Teyvat?

Getting Started
First things first, I needed to figure out how to even do this. I’m no 3D modeler, so I had to rely on some, uh, creative methods. I basically rummaged through some online forums and found a couple of tools.
The Messy Process
It was a total mess, I’m not gonna lie. I started with some basic 3D software, It turned out, making a detailed character model into anything resembling a ball is…tricky. The rigging, the textures, everything just wanted to fight me.
- First Attempt: I tried just squashing the model down. Yeah, that didn’t work. It looked less like a ball and more like a pancake that had a really bad day.
- Second Attempt: Found a tool with a “spherify” filter. Hilarious results, but still not quite right. The characters ended up looking like those warped mirrors at a carnival.
- Third Attempt: I finally got something that looked somewhat ball-like! I had to manually adjust a ton of vertices, and it took forever.
After all that,The characters finally ball-shaped.
The Final Result (Kinda)
So, after hours of wrestling with the software, I managed to get a few characters into a vaguely ball-like shape. I loaded them up in the game (using a mod, of course, don’t try this on the official servers!), and… well, it was something. Seeing these round bois rolling around the landscape was both terrifying and incredibly amusing. Imagine Klee bouncing around like a little bomb. It just breaks your brain in the best way.
Honestly, the whole process was a chaotic experiment, but it was definitely worth it for the laughs. Would I recommend it? Maybe, if you have a lot of patience and a good sense of humor. It’s not exactly high art, but it’s good for a chuckle.
