Okay, so, I’ve been keeping an eye on this game called FragPunk, which looks pretty cool. It’s a 5v5 hero shooter, but what caught my attention was the powerup card system. Sounds like a fun twist, right?
I started digging around to find out when this thing is actually coming out. I checked out some game news sites and forums, did a bunch of Google searches, you know, the usual stuff. I found out that FragPunk is being developed by Bad Guitar Studio and published by NetEase Games.
Initially, all I could find was that it was supposed to be released sometime in 2025. That was a bit vague, so I kept digging. Then I saw that there was a Closed Beta Test announced. I immediately tried to sign up for it, hoping to get a sneak peek. The sign-up was pretty straightforward, mostly just filling out some forms on their website.
Later on, I stumbled upon an announcement that mentioned the exact release date. Turns out, they’re dropping it on March 6th, 2025. It’s going to be available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. That’s great news, covers pretty much all the major platforms!
I also found out that they showed off some new stuff at the Tokyo Game Show 2024, including new characters called Lancers, and some extra cards. The Closed Alpha Test is going to have 70 of these shard cards and 10 heroes to play with. That’s a decent amount of content to try out.
My Action Plan
- First, I marked March 6th, 2025 on my calendar.
- Then I signed up for the Closed Beta Test. I’m really hoping to get in and see what the game is all about before it officially launches.
- I joined a few online communities and forums to stay updated on any news or updates about FragPunk.
So yeah, that’s my little adventure in tracking down the release date for FragPunk. I’m pretty stoked to give it a try. Hopefully, the Closed Beta Test will give me a good idea of what to expect. Fingers crossed that it lives up to the hype!
