Alright, let’s talk about this Jason Langer fella, the golfer. You know, the one whose daddy is that other golfer, the real famous one, Bernhard Langer. Yeah, that’s the one. Don’t know much about golf myself, but I hear tell these Langers are pretty good at hittin’ that little white ball.
Now, this young Jason, he ain’t as old as his daddy, that’s for sure. They say he was born in the year 2000, right here in America. Makes him a young’un, still wet behind the ears, as they say. But he’s already playin’ golf, just like his pa. Guess it runs in the family, like blue eyes or a stubborn streak.
- He’s got a brother and two sisters, too. Whole bunch of ‘em.
- And his mama, she’s American, been married to Bernhard since way back in 1984. Long time, that is.
Jason, he’s been seen playin’ with his daddy in some of them golf tournaments. They even won one together here recently, that PNC Championship down in Orlando. Beat a bunch of other folks, they did. Made their daddy proud, I reckon. Sixty-six years old, that Bernhard, still swingin’ them clubs. And Jason, he’s right there beside him, learnin’ the ropes.
I heard tell Jason went to some fancy university too, the University of Pennsylvania, they call it. Smart boy, maybe. Or maybe just good at hittin’ that little ball. Don’t know which, but he’s out there playin’ golf, that’s for sure. Probably got a bunch of fancy golf clubs and them special shoes. Golfers always got special shoes, don’t they?
They say Jason and his daddy, they live in two places. One over in Germany, where Bernhard come from, a place called Anhausen. And another one down here in Boca Raton, Florida. Fancy places, both of ‘em, I bet. Not like my little ol’ place, that’s for sure. But them golfers, they got money, I hear. Lots of it.
This young Jason, he’s still got a lot to learn, I guess. His daddy, he’s won a whole mess of tournaments, they say. Forty-seven of ‘em! That’s a lot of winnin’, even for someone who knows as little about golf as I do. Jason, he’s just startin’ out, but he’s got good genes, they say. That means he’s got a good chance of bein’ a good golfer, just like his daddy.
I seen some pictures of ‘em playin’ together. Jason, he looks serious, like he’s concentratin’ hard. Bernhard, he looks like he’s seen it all before. Been playin’ golf his whole life, probably. And now he’s teachin’ his boy the tricks of the trade, I suppose. Passin’ down the family business, like farmin’ or fixin’ cars, only it’s hittin’ little white balls with sticks.
So, that’s about all I know about this Jason Langer, the golfer. Young fella, son of a famous golfer, playin’ golf and winnin’ tournaments. Seems like a good boy, workin’ hard and learnin’ from his daddy. Maybe someday he’ll be even more famous than Bernhard. Who knows? Golf is a funny game, I hear. One day you’re up, the next day you’re down. But this Jason Langer, he seems like he’s got a good head on his shoulders, and a good swing, too. We’ll just have to wait and see what he does next.
They got some events down here in South Florida, I hear, where Jason plays. The South Florida PGA, they call it. Guess he’s makin’ a name for himself, slowly but surely. And why not? He’s got the name, he’s got the skills, and he’s got a good teacher. Just gotta keep at it, that’s all. That’s what my mama always told me, anyway. Keep at it, and you’ll get there eventually.
So, keep an eye out for this Jason Langer, the golfer. He’s one to watch, I reckon. And if you see him playin’ on TV, you can tell your friends you heard about him from an old woman who don’t know nothin’ about golf, but knows a good boy when she sees one.
