Alright, so today I’m gonna walk you through my little fashion experiment inspired by Andrey Rublev. Yeah, the tennis guy. I know, sounds kinda weird, right? But stick with me.

It all started when I was scrolling through some sports pics and bam! Rublev’s got this effortless cool thing going on. Not just on the court, but his off-duty style too. It’s like…relaxed but put-together, y’know?
First thing I did was hit up my own closet. Started pulling out anything that felt remotely similar to his vibe. Think comfy tees, hoodies, some slightly oversized stuff. Basically, anything that screams “I didn’t try too hard, but I still look decent.”
Key Pieces I Focused On:
- The Tee: Had to be a plain, solid color tee. White, black, grey – nothing fancy. The kind that looks good even if it’s a little wrinkled.
- The Hoodie/Jacket: A simple zip-up hoodie or a lightweight jacket. Again, nothing too flashy. Functionality over fashion, almost.
- The Pants: This is where it gets interesting. He seems to favor comfy pants – joggers, chinos, even jeans that aren’t super tight. I opted for some slightly worn-in chinos.
- The Shoes: Sneakers, obviously. Simple, clean sneakers. I went with my trusty white Stan Smiths.
Next up, the experimenting. This is where I started mixing and matching. Tried the tee with the chinos and hoodie. Nah, felt too basic. Tee with the jacket and jeans? Closer, but still missing something.
Then I remembered this one detail I’d noticed in a lot of his photos – the slightly tucked-in tee. So, I tried it. Tucked the front of my tee into the chinos, leaving the back loose. Suddenly, it looked a little more intentional, a little more…him?

The Final Look:
Plain grey tee, front tucked into the chinos, zip-up hoodie (unzipped, of course), and the white sneakers. Threw on a baseball cap backwards for good measure, ’cause why not?
Went out for a coffee run. Got a couple of “nice outfit” comments, which is always a good sign. More importantly, I felt comfortable and confident. That’s the Rublev vibe, I guess. Comfort meets cool.
What I Learned:
You don’t need to spend a ton of money or follow trends to have a good sense of style. Sometimes, it’s just about finding the right balance of comfort and simplicity. And maybe stealing a few ideas from tennis players.

Anyway, that’s my Andrey Rublev-inspired fashion journey. Give it a shot. You might be surprised what you come up with.
