Okay, so, like, I wanted to jump into this mod, you know, the Fallout London one. Heard a lot about it, figured why not give it a shot? It’s this total conversion mod for Fallout 4, right? Sounds cool, taking the whole thing to London and all.
First off, I got the game, Fallout 4. Made sure it was all updated and stuff. Then came the mod. Now, this thing’s huge, like, really big. You gotta download it from their site, and let me tell you, it took a while. But that’s expected, I guess, for something this massive.
Once I had it all downloaded, it was time to install. They got this installer, which is pretty neat. You run it, and it does most of the work for you. But here’s the kicker, you need this clean install of Fallout 4. No other mods, nothing. So, I made sure of that. Followed the steps, pointed the installer to my Fallout 4 directory, and let it do its thing.
Then came the waiting. It installs a bunch of stuff, not just the mod but some other things it needs to run. Took a good chunk of time, but finally, it was all set up. I fired up the game, and there it was, Fallout London, right in the main menu.
Getting into the Game
-
Started a new game, obviously. You get this opening, it’s different from the usual Fallout 4 stuff. Sets the stage for this whole London adventure.
-
And bam, I was in this underground station. Totally new, you know? Not like anything in the base game. It’s all London-themed, with these British accents and all. Pretty immersive, I gotta say.
-
But then, it happened. I’m exploring, getting used to the new setting, and boom, train crash. Not like an actual crash, but a scripted event, I think. It was intense. Stuff falling, noises, the whole shebang. It was like the mod’s way of saying, “Welcome to London, mate!”
After that, I was hooked. Spent hours just wandering around, checking out the new areas, the new factions, and all that. It’s like a whole new game, really. And that train crash, it’s a memorable way to kick things off. Makes you realize this isn’t just another mod; it’s something else entirely.
So yeah, that’s my experience with Fallout London so far. Pretty wild, especially with that train crash intro. If you’re into Fallout 4 and looking for something fresh, this is it. Just be ready for that download and make sure you follow the install steps right. It’s worth it, though.
