Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this Elden Ring mage build, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I started off pretty clueless, just picking the Astrologer class because, well, it sounded cool. I mean, who doesn’t want to be a space wizard?
First thing I did was create my character. I spent way too long on this part, tweaking every little detail. After that, I started exploring, trying to get a feel for the game, I guess.
Combat was rough at first. I was getting my butt kicked by everything, from those little goblin dudes to those giant knights. I learned pretty quick that dodging is your best friend. And those starting spells? Pebble is your bread and butter. Just spam that thing.
Then I started to figure out how to level up. Putting points into Intelligence was the obvious choice, right? More magic damage, more spells, more fun. I also put some into Vigor because, you know, staying alive is kinda important.
I stumbled upon some new spells, started experimenting. Found this thing called “Waves of Darkness”. It’s got Magic Affinity, and you can use it on greataxes and great hammers. You plunge your weapon into the ground, and it sends out three waves of dark magic. Looks awesome, but honestly, I haven’t used it much yet in my mage build, it was not so match.
After a while, I felt like a real battle mage. I was slinging spells left and right, dodging attacks, and actually winning fights. It felt pretty good, not gonna lie. I still have a long way to go, lots more to explore and experiment with. But this mage build? It’s definitely a keeper.
I am not sure about the build is going to be top-tier or anything, but it’s fun as hell. And that’s what matters, right? Having fun while playing the game.
I’ll keep messing around with it, see what other crazy spells I can find. Who knows, maybe I’ll even try to take down one of those big bosses everyone’s talking about. For now, though, I’m just enjoying the journey, one magical explosion at a time.
