Alright, so y’all wanna know ’bout this fella, Duane Thomas Jr., huh? Okay, okay, I’ll tell ya what I know. Heard some folks talkin’, ya know, and I picked up a thing or two. This young’un, he plays football. Yeah, that’s right, the pigskin game.
Now, they say he’s a wide receiver. What’s that mean? Well, it means he catches the ball, that’s what it means. They throw it, and he gotta go get it. Fast little fella, I reckon, gotta be quick to catch that thing.
They tell me he plays for the Charlotte 49ers. Never heard of ’em myself, but hey, there’s a lot of teams out there. Must be a college team, I guess. Kids these days, always runnin’ around, playin’ games. Back in my day, we worked in the fields!
Now, this boy, Duane, they say he ain’t too big. 5 foot 9, they say. That ain’t tall, no sir. And weighs about 175 pounds. Skinny little fella, just like a beanpole. But don’t let that fool ya, some of them skinny ones are the quickest.
He comes from a place called Hollywood. Hollywood? That sounds fancy. Must be one of them city boys. But he plays football, so he can’t be all that bad, I guess.

Now, this Athletic place, they keep up with him. They write stories and stuff. Tell you all about how he’s doin’. Seems like folks are real interested in this boy. Must be somethin’ special, I reckon.
They also talkin’ about some other fella named Duane Thomas. But he’s older, played way back when. Got himself into some hall of fame. This young Duane, he’s got a long way to go to be like that. But who knows, maybe he will.
So, that’s about all I know ’bout Duane Thomas Jr. He’s a young fella who plays football, catches the ball, and runs around a lot. He ain’t too big, but he’s quick. College football, they call it. Seems like a lot of fuss to me. But hey, if it makes folks happy, then I guess it’s alright. Just don’t be forgettin’ to do your chores, young man. Football ain’t everything, ya hear?
