Alright, let’s talk about this Dodgers and Astros game, you know, the one they just played. Folks keep askin’ me about it, so I figured I’d just tell everyone all at once. Don’t expect no fancy words from me, I just say it like it is.
So, the Astros, they beat the Dodgers. Beat ’em good, 5-0. Yep, shut ’em right out. Happened on July 26th, I think. Big crowd there, over 41,000 folks, musta been excitin’…though not for Dodgers fans I guess.
- Game was pretty quick too, under three hours. These fellas play fast when they want to.
- That fella, Teoscar Hernandez, he whacked one outta the park. His 22nd home run, they say. Guess he’s pretty good at hittin’ that ball.
Now, if you wanna see all them numbers and such, the box score they call it, you gotta go to some website. Baseball- somethin’-somethin’. I ain’t good with them computer things. But it’s got all the stats, who hit what, who struck out, all that jazz.
They were talkin’ on the TV ’bout how the Astros been doin’ real well lately. Been in that Championship Series thing seven years runnin’! That’s a lot, even for someone like me who don’t know much about it. They play a bunch of games, see, best out of five, then best out of seven. Lots of baseball to watch if you’re into that.
This game, though, it was just one game. And the Astros, they were just better that day. Dodgers couldn’t seem to get nothin’ goin’. Happens sometimes. One day you’re hittin’ everything, next day you can’t hit nothin’.
Heard someone sayin’ somethin’ about head-to-head stats too. You know, comparing the teams, who wins more and such. Regular season, playoffs, all of it. Sounds complicated to me. I just care about who won the game I’m watchin’.
If the Astros keep playin’ like this, they’re gonna be hard to beat. But baseball’s a funny game. Anything can happen. You never know. That’s why folks love it, I guess. Always somethin’ to keep ya on your toes.
Anyway, that’s the gist of it. Astros won, Dodgers lost, some fella hit a home run, and the game was quick. Don’t need no fancy stats to know that. Just gotta watch the game and see who’s standin’ at the end.
And if you wanna watch more games, they say you can do it on that Fubo thing. More sports and such. I stick to the radio mostly, but you young folks like them fancy picture boxes.
So, there ya have it. Astros beat the Dodgers. 5-0. Plain and simple.
