Well now, if you ain’t heard of DeJordan Mask, let me tell ya a bit ’bout him. He’s a young fella, born and raised in Texarkana, Arkansas, and let me tell you, folks down there, they sure know how to play some football. DeJordan, now, he’s a defensive back, all tall and lean, standing at about 6-foot-1 and weighin’ around 180 pounds, just the right size for a safety in the game. You don’t get to be a football player in the big leagues unless you got some real talent, and he sure does.
Now, if you’re wonderin’ about his college career, well, let me tell ya, he’s been around a bit. He started off playin’ for the Arkansas Razorbacks, and he made quite a name for himself there. Played in 11 out of 12 games in 2021, that’s a lot of playin’ if you ask me. He made 39 tackles, with 28 of ’em all on his own, and even got himself an interception in there. Not bad for a fella just gettin’ started, right?
But it wasn’t all smooth sailin’. He missed one game against Troy, and didn’t start in another game ‘gainst Louisiana. But even so, he didn’t let that stop him. He came back strong, always workin’ hard to prove himself. That’s the kind of grit you need to make it in this game. And then, well, come December 2022, he made a big ol’ change. He decided to transfer to the UCF Knights over in Florida, which I reckon is a mighty good move for him. New place, new start, and a fresh chance to show what he’s made of. He enrolled in January 2023 for the spring semester, ready to hit the ground runnin’!
Now, I ain’t gonna lie, folks, the boy’s got some serious skills. His time at UCF in 2023 was nothin’ short of impressive. Even though he only played in six games, you could see the potential. They don’t let just anyone play for a team like UCF, and you can bet that DeJordan Mask’s name’s gonna keep gettin’ called out on that field as he keeps on developin’ his skills.
One thing that folks really like ‘bout him is how he’s always makin’ plays when it counts. He’s got a good head on his shoulders, knows where to be, and when to make a move. Whether it’s sackin’ a quarterback or breakin’ up a pass, DeJordan’s always in the right place at the right time. That’s the mark of a real player.
If you don’t believe me, well, take a look at his stats. Ain’t no lie in them numbers, folks. His tackle count is up there, and he’s got the kind of defensive stats you can’t just brush off. As a safety, he’s not just there to look pretty—he’s there to stop the other team in their tracks, and that’s exactly what he’s been doin’.
As for his future, well, it’s lookin’ bright. Ain’t no tellin’ where this young man will go next, but one thing’s for sure: he’s got the drive, the determination, and the talent to make it far. UCF’s lucky to have him, and if he keeps workin’ like he’s been doin’, you can bet we’ll all be hearin’ DeJordan Mask’s name again real soon. It wouldn’t surprise me one bit if we see him in the pros someday!
So, there you have it, folks. DeJordan Mask, the safety from Texarkana, Arkansas, now out there makin’ waves with the UCF Knights. Keep an eye on him, ‘cause if there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s that this boy’s gonna go far!
