Okay, so the other day I was trying to find that Deion Sanders theme music, you know, the one that makes you feel like you can run through a brick wall? I’ve been a huge fan of Deion since way back, and that tune is just fire. It’s like, part of his whole vibe, you know? His confidence, his swagger, all that. So I set out to find it.
First, I checked out a few articles about him and his music, just to make sure I was on the right track. It’s kind of become a classic, a big part of his brand. I saw a few things that confirmed what I was looking for.
Next, I did some digging about when it was first used. I saw someone mention it was used back in 2022 before a spring game at Jackson State. Makes sense, since he was the coach there and all. I even found the name of the song: “Pwnz” by Bernie Worrell. I had a vague memory of hearing this mentioned before.
- Looked up articles about Deion and his theme song.
- Checked out when it was first used.
- Searched for songs by the artist Bernie Worrell.
I decided to look for songs by Bernie Worrell and that’s where I struck gold. I found a bunch of songs but some weren’t what I was looking for. “My Heart Will Go On”, the song from “Titanic”? Nope, not quite the vibe I had in mind.
Finally, I found a song called “Deion Sanders Intro” by Cadillac WoodGrain. And that’s it! I listened to it, and it was the perfect one. The one that instantly made me think of Deion and his legendary plays. Mission accomplished. It’s a song with a unique sound, and a catchy melody, just perfect to represent Deion.
Finding that theme music was a fun little trip down memory lane. It’s amazing how a song can be so tied to a person’s image, right?
