Okay, so, I saw this thing online about Dak Prescott’s dad, and I got curious. You know, Dak Prescott, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback? I always thought he was a pretty cool dude, so I figured, why not check out what his dad’s all about?
Digging into Dak’s Dad
First, I started with a simple search. Nothing fancy, just typed in “Dak Prescott dad” to see what popped up. And let me tell you, there wasn’t a ton of information right there on the surface.
- I found out his dad’s name is Nathaniel, but that was about it. Not much else easy to find.
- I kept digging, going through a bunch of articles and stuff. Seems like Nathaniel is a pretty private guy.
Eventually, I pieced together a few things. From what I could gather, Nathaniel and Dak’s mom, Peggy, split up when Dak was a kid. But, it sounds like Nathaniel still stayed involved in Dak’s life, especially when it came to football.
I read some stories about how Nathaniel would drive Dak to practices and games. He pushed him to be the best, but not in a crazy, overbearing way. More like a supportive, “I believe in you” kind of way. He would support Dak’s career during his childhood. He taught Dak how to handle the pressure that comes with the position.
Then I learned about some tough times, too. Dak’s mom, Peggy, passed away from cancer back in 2013. That had to be rough on the whole family. But from what I read, it seems like that experience only brought Dak and his dad closer together. Dak also has two brothers, and one of them died by suicide in 2020. There are not many details about this accident. Dak and his family decided to remain silent for a while.
After reading all of this, it really hit me how important family is. Even though Dak’s a big-time NFL star, he’s still just a guy who loves his dad. And Nathaniel seems like a regular dude who just happens to have a famous son.
It was cool getting a little glimpse into their lives, even if it was just through articles online. Makes you appreciate your own family a little more, you know?
Anyway, that’s my little internet deep dive for the day. Just thought I’d share what I found. Hope it was mildly interesting. Back to your regularly scheduled programming!
