This Lucas Glover, I tell ya, he’s somethin’ else with them golf clubs. What’s he got in that bag of his, you ask? Well, let me tell ya, it ain’t no ordinary stuff. That bag, it’s like a magician’s hat, full of surprises.
That Big Stick – The Driver
First off, he’s got that big stick, the one he uses to whack the ball a country mile. They call it a “driver”. This one, it’s a Titleist GT2. Big word, but all it means is it’s a fancy club. Ten degrees, whatever that is. He hits it, and that ball, it just goes and goes. I seen him hit it, that ball, it just up and disappears! He also uses another driver, it’s called Srixon Z785. Nine point five degrees this one is. He can make the ball fly with these.
The Other Sticks – Woods and Irons
Then there’s these other sticks, not as big, but still important. He’s got a couple of them Ping G430 Max things. Fairway woods, they call them. One’s a 15, the other’s an 18. Don’t ask me what them numbers mean, but he uses ’em when the ball ain’t too far, but not too close neither. He uses the Fujikura Ventus shaft with these woods, whatever that means. He’s good with them, that Lucas. Hits the ball real good, even from far away.
- He’s got that Ping G430 Max, 15 degrees.
- And another one, Ping G430 Max, 18 degrees.
- Uses that big driver Titleist GT2, 10 degrees.
- Another driver, Srixon Z785, 9.5 degrees.
He also got these other clubs, they call them “irons”. Used to be made of real iron, I reckon. Now they use all sorts of stuff. He’s got a whole bunch of these, all different numbers. They help him get the ball up in the air, make it land where he wants it. He represents Srixon, so he uses their irons. Fancy stuff!
The Short Ones – Wedges
Then there’s the “wedges”. These are for when he’s close to that little hole, the one with the flag. He’s got a few of these, different kinds. They help him chip the ball, make it roll just right. He’s real good with these, I tell ya. That ball, it listens to him when he uses these wedges.
That Funny Lookin’ One – The Putter
And then, there’s that funny lookin’ one, the “putter”. He uses that one when the ball is on that smooth, green grass, right near the hole. Used to be, he used this long one, they called it a “broomstick”. L.A.B. Mezz. 1 Max broomstick. Helped him win some big games back in 2023. Now he uses Golf DF3 broomstick putter. He just kinda taps the ball with it, and it rolls right in. Makes it look easy, but it ain’t, I can tell ya that much.
Winning with What’s in the Bag
He won that big game, the Wyndham Championship, back in August, on the 6th. Used all these clubs, I reckon. He’s a winner, that Lucas. Then there’s that other big win, the 2009 US Open. That was a big one. He beat everyone with his bag of tricks. That Lucas Glover, he was hitting that ball so good in 2023. I heard folks say he’s some kinda top player with these clubs. I believe it, I’ve seen it!
Family First
He’s got a wife, Krista. They got married back in 2012. They got two kids, a girl named Lucille and a boy named Lucas Jr. Family is important, even for a golf man like Lucas. They come first, before all them golf clubs and games. He also won that big game, the Tour Championship. Used all these clubs, I reckon.
He’s got all kinds of clubs in that bag. But that Lucas, he’s a good one. He knows how to use ’em, that’s for sure. Wins a lot of those golf games. You just wait and see, he’ll win some more. What’s in the bag, Lucas Glover? Well, it’s a whole lot of winning, that’s what.
