Was catching some highlights of an LPGA tournament last week, and man, some of those drives just explode off the tee. Got me thinking later, just totally randomly, what’s the biggest bomb ever hit by one of the ladies on tour? You know, the absolute longest drive on record.

Figured it’d be easy to find. Just a quick search, right?
The Search Begins… and Gets Confusing
So, I hopped online. Typed in the usual stuff: “longest lpga drive”, “lpga distance record”, that kind of thing. Thought I’d get a clear answer straight up. Yeah, not so much.
Got a whole mess of results. Different names, different distances. Some were talking crazy numbers, way up there. Made me think, okay, was this downhill? Wind blowing a gale? Was it even in a tournament?
- Kept seeing numbers over 400 yards pop up. Which is just insane.
- Tried to figure out which ones were official. That’s the tricky part.
- Conditions matter so much. A drive on flat ground vs. one that hits a cart path and rolls forever… different beast.
Felt like I was going in circles for a bit, clicking through articles and some stats pages that looked kinda old.
So, What’s the Deal?
Alright, pinning down the single longest drive officially? Still seems kinda murky. But one name that kept coming up for monster hits was Emily Kristine Pedersen. Found mentions of her hitting one 407 yards. Four. Hundred. Seven. Yards. That was apparently back in 2021. Just wow.

There was another name, Maude-Aimee Leblanc, linked to maybe 413 yards around 2022? But again, finding the official stamp on that as the record… tough going.
My takeaway? Tracking the absolute longest hit is harder than you’d think. They do a good job tracking the average driving distance leaders each season, that’s pretty clear cut. But that one freakishly long shot? It’s slippery.
Still, just knowing they can blast it over 400 yards is pretty wild. Shows you the incredible athletes these women are. Makes my weekend hacks look even sadder, haha. But hey, it was fun digging into it anyway. Always interesting to see the limits being pushed.
