Okay, so I was messing around with some baseball data, specifically looking at Cubs relievers, and I got this idea to pull together a list of all the guys who’ve racked up saves for the team. I thought, “Why not aim for 300 saves?” It seemed like a cool milestone to check out.

First, I dug into some online baseball databases. You know, the usual spots where you can find all sorts of stats. It took a bit of clicking around, but I finally found the data I needed – season-by-season saves for every Cubs pitcher ever.
Gathering the data
- Started with searching for baseball statistics.
- Found a good database with team-specific stats.
- Located the section for saves by pitchers.
I grabbed that data and dumped it into a spreadsheet. I love spreadsheets; they make sorting and filtering stuff so easy. That’s when I ran a filter for 300 saves in the spreadsheet,
When I finished, I find out No one had over 300 saves as cubs player.
So, yeah, that was my little data adventure. Maybe not the most groundbreaking discovery, but hey, it was fun to poke around the numbers and see what I could find!
