Okay, so I’ve been messing around with AI art generators lately, and I had this idea to create some tarot cards. But not just any tarot cards – I wanted them to have this specific vibe, like they were from the game “Sword of Convallaria”. And, I pictured them spread out on a battlefield, all dramatic-like.

First, I spent some time just brainstorming. I looked up a bunch of images of tarot cards, just to get a feel for the traditional style. Then, I dug into some screenshots and art from “Sword of Convallaria” to get that aesthetic down. You know, the colors, the character designs, the overall mood.
Next, I fired up my AI art generator. I use, uh… well, one of the popular ones. You probably know it. I started with some basic prompts, like “tarot card, fantasy style, battlefield”. The first few results were… okay. Nothing special. Kind of generic fantasy stuff, really.
So, I started getting more specific. I added details about “Sword of Convallaria”, mentioning character archetypes, maybe a knight, a mage, you get the idea. I also played around with the style descriptions. “Dramatic lighting”, “worn edges”, “detailed armor”, that kind of thing. Still, it wasn’t quite there yet.
This is where it got a bit tedious. I went through a LOT of iterations. I’d tweak the prompt, generate a new batch, look at them, tweak it again… over and over. It felt like I was herding cats! Sometimes I’d get a card that was almost perfect, but then the background would be all messed up. Or the character’s face would look… weird.
The Refining Stage
- I focused on getting the battlefield aspect right. I used phrases like “scattered cards”, “war-torn landscape”, “smoke and fire”.
- I experimented to find that perfect look, that made the characters and card have the Convallaria appearance.
- Then, I started working on individual cards. Instead of just saying “tarot card”, I’d specify, like, “The Knight, tarot card, Sword of Convallaria style”.
Finally, after what felt like a million tries, I started getting some results I really liked. The cards had that “Sword of Convallaria” feel, the characters looked pretty good, and the battlefield setting was just right – all dramatic and desolate.

It was a long process, a lot of trial and error, but it was pretty cool to see my idea come to life. I’m still no expert, but I’m definitely learning a lot about how to “talk” to these AI art generators to get what I want. It’s like learning a new language, almost. Might do another like this, but for now, I’m happy!
