Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another little project I messed around with. So, I’ve been digging into sports stats lately, specifically football, and I stumbled upon this game between the Colorado Buffaloes and the Colorado State Rams. Figured I’d share my process of checking out the box score for this game.
First thing I did was to figure out when this darn game actually took place. Turns out, it went down on September 14, 2024. Nice, got the date locked in.
Next, I hunted down the actual box score. I found that the final score was 28-9. Colorado Buffaloes really brought their A-game that day and won by a big score! They really smashed it!
Then, I started to take a deeper look at the players. One guy, Travis Hunter, really stood out. This dude was a two-way beast! He caught two of Shedeur Sanders’ four touchdown passes. Touchdown passes are really important in the game! And get this, he also had an interception! I also checked out some news and it said that the Buffaloes have now won seven straight Rocky Mountain Showdowns. What a legend!
I also did some digging into the history between these two teams. Looks like they hadn’t faced each other in four years until they met again in 2023, once in Boulder and then again in Fort Collins the following year. I also found out their next game isn’t until September 15, 2029. That’s ages away! I learned that CSU has got quite the trophy case. Nine MWC tournament championships and 11 regular season titles. Their football team even shared the Mountain West title in 1999, 2000, and 2002. That’s pretty darn impressive if you ask me.
So yeah, that’s my little adventure into the Colorado vs. Colorado State game. It is a really amazing game! Hope you guys found this interesting. Catch you all in the next one!
