So, after all that, I realized that “Chicago Players” could refer to multiple teams. It was a bit of a trick clue, but it was fun to figure out. I learned a bit more about Chicago sports teams in the process, which is always cool. It was a reminder that sometimes, you need to think outside the box – or in this case, outside the basketball court and baseball field – to find the answer.
It wasn’t easy. But after trying a few, I nailed it and solved that crossword.
