Hey everyone, I wanted to share my thoughts on who I think should be in the Celtics’ all-time starting five. It’s a tough call, because they’ve had so many great players over the years. But after thinking about it long and hard, I finally came up with my list.
Point Guard
For the point guard position, I gotta go with Bob Cousy. I mean, the guy was a legend. He was one of the first real superstars in the league and his skills were just off the charts. Plus, he was the MVP back in ’56-’57, so you know he was the real deal.
The Rest of the Squad
- So, we’ve got Cousy at point guard. Now, who else makes the cut?
- I was reading this article, and it got me thinking about all the amazing players who’ve worn the Celtics uniform. It’s crazy to think about all that talent.
- This other piece I stumbled upon was talking about the current starting lineup. It’s wild how things change, right? Right now, it’s Jrue Holiday, Derrick White, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, and Al Horford. And they say Payton Pritchard is the sixth man this year.
- But back to the all-time starting five…
Bill Russell
You can’t have a Celtics’ all-time team without Bill Russell. The man’s got 11 rings! That’s more than anyone else in history. He was a beast on the court, no doubt about it. His speed, his power, he was unstoppable.
Wrapping it up
I spent hours going through articles and forums, just trying to put this team together. It’s not easy when you’ve got so many legends to choose from. But I think I’ve put together a pretty solid lineup. It represents the history, the heart, and the soul of the Boston Celtics. At least, that’s how I see it. What do you guys think?
This is just my take on it. I’m sure lots of you have different opinions, and that’s cool. That’s what makes these discussions so much fun. So, feel free to let me know who you’d pick for your all-time Celtics starting five. I’m always up for a good basketball debate!
