Okay, so this morning I decided to watch the match between Juncheng Shang and Carlos Alcaraz. I’ve been following both players for a while, so I was pretty hyped for this one.

First, I grabbed my phone and checked the schedule to see if it was going to start. The match time was a bit so so, I made some coffee to start my day. It was one of those instant coffee, nothing fancy. I wanted to be fully awake, you know?
Then I fired up my old laptop. Opened the browser. I use a free sports streaming website. It’s got tons of ads, and you can’t watch the match in high resolution. I wish I could pay for the official channel, but the subscription fee is way to high, and I am broke.
The Match Begins
- The first set started, and man, both players were bringing the heat! Shang was playing super aggressively.
- Alcaraz, of course, was being his usual amazing self, pulling off some crazy shots. I literally jumped off my couch a few times.
I kept yelling at the screen, “Come on!” as if they could hear me. My wife came in at one point, totally confused, but I was too engrossed to explain.
The match got really intense. It was back and forth, lots of long rallies. I could see the determination in Shang’s eyes, and you could feel the energy from Alcaraz.
I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, I spilled coffee once. My heart was racing when it was close.

The resolution wasn’t great, and the stream buffered a few times, making me super frustrated. But I still managed to see most of the key moments.
In the end, I saw Alcaraz take the win, but honestly, Shang played incredibly well. It was a fantastic match, even with the bad streaming quality.
I am very delighted to witness this match!
