Well now, let me tell ya a bit ’bout C.J. Stroud. Ya know, that young fella who’s makin’ waves in football these days. Folks talk ’bout his skills on the field, but not many know a whole lot ’bout his family. I reckon it’s high time someone filled ya in.
C.J. Stroud, he was born on October 3, 2001. That’s right, he ain’t even 23 yet! Born to Coleridge Bernard Stroud III and Kimberly Stroud, C.J. is the youngest of four siblings. Now, his family’s a bit different from most. He’s got two older brothers, Isaiah and Asmar, and an older sister. Mighty good family, I’d say.
Now, ya might be wonderin’ ’bout that “Stroud” name. Well, turns out, he don’t go by the “IV” on the back of his jersey. Nope, it’s just “Stroud.” His mama, Kimberly, she’s the one who called him C.J. from the start. Funny thing, though, the “J” in his name don’t stand for nothin’. It’s just a nickname that stuck. He ain’t no junior, but I reckon folks just like callin’ him that.
But don’t go thinkin’ everything was all sunshine and rainbows for young C.J. Nah, life’s been a bit rough for him. His daddy, Coleridge Bernard Stroud III, well, he ain’t exactly a role model. In 2015, he got himself into a mess of trouble, pleadin’ guilty to some pretty serious charges like carjacking, kidnapping, and robbery. He was sent to prison for a mighty long time, 38 years, to be exact. So, C.J.’s mama, she had to step up and raise the kids mostly on her own. Tough woman, I reckon, but she did the best she could.
Now, ya might think that’d be the end of C.J.’s story, but no sir, he rose up from all that. He made somethin’ of himself, became a star in football, and even gave credit to his Christian faith. He’s said many times that he’s thankful to Jesus Christ for all he’s got. Ain’t that somethin’? Even with all the hardships, he keeps his faith strong and don’t forget where he came from.
C.J. Stroud might be famous now, but he ain’t forgot his roots. He’s still close to his family, especially his mama and his siblings. I hear tell that family’s real important to him, and he’s always been grateful for the love and support they’ve given him. He don’t let all that fame go to his head. Still, when he steps on the field, you can tell he’s got somethin’ special. Ain’t nobody gonna forget his name any time soon, that’s for sure.
So, there ya have it. That’s a bit about C.J. Stroud and his kin. A young man who’s made a name for himself, but never forgot where he came from. I reckon he’s a good example for the young folks out there. You can come from hard times, but with faith and family, you can rise above it all.
