Okay, so I saw this “Bubba Watson Masters Dinner” thing trending and I was like, “What the heck is that?” I’m no golf expert, but the food sounded kinda…interesting. I decided I had to try making it myself. I mean, how hard could it be, right?

The Game Plan
First, I had to figure out what was actually on this menu. I did some digging around. Turns out, it’s pretty simple. Like, surprisingly simple. Here’s the list I created:
- Caesar Salad: Your basic, everyday Caesar salad. Nothing fancy.
- Grilled Chicken Breast: Again, pretty standard.
- Green Beans: Plain ol’ green beans.
- Mashed Potatoes: Gotta have mashed potatoes.
- Corn: More veggies!
- Mac and Cheese: Okay, this is where it gets a little more interesting.
- Confetti Cake and Vanilla Ice Cream: Dessert time!
The Execution (and Mishaps)
I started with the Caesar salad. I cheated and used bottled dressing, judge me, don’t judge me, it’s been a long day. Chopped up some romaine, tossed it with the dressing, added some croutons, and boom. Salad done.
Next up, the chicken. I seasoned it with some salt, pepper, and garlic powder. I thought about getting fancy, but then I remembered this is Bubba Watson’s dinner, not a Michelin-star meal. Threw it on the grill pan until it was cooked through.
The green beans and corn were super easy. I just steamed them. I considered adding some butter and salt, but I was feeling lazy. Sue me.
Mashed potatoes are my weakness. I love them. I boiled some potatoes, mashed them with butter, milk, and a little bit of salt and pepper. They were heavenly. This is why i get up in the morning.

Mac and cheese. I used a box mix for simplicity. There’s different flavors, but the menu just said “mac and cheese”, so I’m playing it literal. Cooked the pasta, stirred in the cheese sauce, and that’s it. I know, I know, it’s not gourmet, but it tasted pretty good.
Finally, dessert. I bought a confetti cake mix and some vanilla ice cream. Baked the cake according to the box instructions. It was a little dry, I may have over-baked it, I’m just saying. But the ice cream helped. A lot.
The Verdict
Honestly, the whole meal was…fine. It was incredibly simple, maybe that’s the point? It felt like something I’d make on a random Tuesday night when I didn’t feel like putting in a lot of effort. But hey, if it’s good enough for a Masters champion, it’s good enough for me. Would I make it again? Maybe. If I was feeling nostalgic for some seriously basic comfort food.
